Integrated Circuits Research Laboratory
The Integrated Circuits Research Laboratory (ICRL) was established at Fall 2007 in Babol University of Technology. This Laboratory encompasses a broad program of research that extends from basic materials processing like micrometer devices technology to system level integration issues. ICRL is the first laboratory in the field that pursues Integrated Circuits Design programs. The laboratory consists of more than 25 M.Sc. Research Assistants and 2 Ph.D. students.
The design of integrated circuits comprises a major focus of the laboratory, with a number of research programs devoted to exploring limits of high-Frequency analog and digital circuits. Research topics include mixed-signal circuits for clock and data recovery circuits, monolithic phase locked loops, analog-to-digital conversion and ultra wide band communications, RF circuits for application in wireless communications systems, high-speed digital circuits, microwave and antennas, algorithms, architectures and circuit design techniques for high-performance analog signal processing systems, and special-purpose low-power integrated circuits.
ICRL have published papers in international journals and conferences with high impacts just since two years. The first M.Sc. research thesis performed by ICRL's members was "Design of Single Chip Multi GBit/sec CMOS Clock and Data Recovery Circuits". Our first Msc. Student is graduated with the best Research Project GPA in Electrical Department.
